The early symptoms of pregnancy also point out the positive possibility. Let us discuss the symptoms one by one.

Every woman is different from the in physic and hormones. Similarly, their experiences of pregnancy are also different. Women may or may not have the same symptoms of pregnancy.

The early signs of pregnancy are often similar to the symptoms that each woman experiences during menstruation. Hence, they often fail to realize that they are pregnant.

The following description is about some of the common early symptoms of pregnancy noticed in women. However, these symptoms can occur due to other changes in the body hormones, and not necessarily pregnancy. The only thing that can confirm a pregnancy is a pregnancy test.

Spotting and Cramping: Soon after the conception, the fertilized egg gets attached to the uterus that causes spotting, which is considered as one of the earliest symptoms of pregnancy. Spotting is often accompanied by cramping.

Spotting or implantation bleeding occurs anytime between the 6th to 12th days of egg fertilization.

The cramps are similar to regular menstrual cramps that women experience every month. That’s why women usually mistake them and take the bleeding at the start of their period. However, both bleeding and cramps are slight.

Other than vaginal bleeding, a woman, pregnant in the early phase, may notice a white discharge from her vagina. This discharge starts soon after conception and releases from the thickening of the vagina’s walls. The discharge is caused due to the increased growth of cells in the vaginal lining.

The white discharge can continue throughout pregnancy. This is usually harmless and does not require medical treatment. Nonetheless, if the discharge is accompanied by a bad smell or burning/itching sensation, it’s necessary to consult the doctor and check the presence of any bacterial infection.

Change of breasts: Body hormones change rapidly after conception. It causes changes in the breasts. Breasts tend to get swollen, tingly or sore. It may feel heavier or even tender to touch. The areola (the area around the nipples) also darkens to show the change.

There could be other reasons for changes in the breast, apart from pregnancy. It is one of the early pregnancy symptoms. The breast pain that occurs due to the hormonal changes often eases up within a few weeks. The pain usually eases up as the body adjusts to the hormone changes.

Fatigue: Women, in the early phase of pregnancy, often feel tired every time. Even after complete rest, the body misses its spirit and energy. Lack of energy, tiredness continues until the end of the first trimester.

It is very normal to feel tired in the early phase of pregnancy. Soon after a week of pregnancy, the woman may experience fatigue and weakness.

It happens due to the hormone called progesterone that lowers the blood pressure and blood sugar. Thus, the body becomes weak and remains tired almost all the time.

Plenty of rest is required as the body is below the required blood pressure level. Eating protein and iron-enriched food can help in this phase. It boosts up the blood pressure and also controls the blood sugar level.

Frequent Urination: Women in their early phase of pregnancy experiences frequent trips to the loo. The body this time produces excess fluid that passed through the bladder. A lot of pee breaks are one of the signs of pregnancy.

Abrupt changes in food choices can be a sign of pregnancy. Women are often seen to be craving for food items that they had no likings for in the past.

Mood Swings: Mood swing is another early sign of pregnancy. Though it is often misunderstood with PMS, mood swings during pregnancy are due to the hormonal imbalance of the body. The husband might expect a roller coaster ride of emotions that the wife will take him through during this phase. It’s important to attend all the mood swings and pamper the lady till she feels better.

Super Smell: During early pregnancy, the pregnant woman is found to be sensitive to every kind of smell, including food, flowers, and all other bad smells. She might not like strong smells at this time. Women also become choosy to food items during their time due to the aroma of particular food items.

Morning Sickness: Morning sickness is also one of the most experienced symptoms of pregnancy. Not every pregnant woman experiences it though.

The primary reason for morning sickness is the changes in body hormones that make the body feel tired. The mom-to-be is found to be rejecting various foods due to smell sensitiveness and, hence, the body does not get the essential nutrients. The morning sickness continues until there is enough sunlight, and the body regains the lost energy.

Missed Period: This is the prime and most obvious early symptom of pregnancy. This sign, in fact, prompts the woman to undergo a pregnancy test. However, all missed periods or delay in menstruation are not to be considered as signs of pregnancy.

In some cases, the woman experiences excessive bleeding in her last menstruation before conception. Any excessive bleeding, while you are expecting to conceive, shall be immediately reported to the doctor. This enables the doctor to guide you properly on how to take care of the pregnancy in the early phase, and avoid any accident.
